Clara Migoya is the agriculture and water reporter for The Arizona Republic and azcentral.com. Previously, she worked for the newspaper as an environmental fellow and a border issues reporter. She holds a bachelor's degree in environmental sciences from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and an M.A. in journalism from the University of Arizona. She is a member of the Society of Environmental Journalists and in 2021 was awarded the SPJ's Mark of Excellence Award in General News Reporting for her coverage on the impacts of a 2014 mine spill.
